We strongly support Smithfield's neighborhood elementary schools and will fight the ongoing attempts to combine them into one mega-school, as is repeatedly proposed by School Committee Democrats.

Our neighborhood schools foster a strong sense of community and promote accessibility for students and parents alike. Our local schools are accessible to the families they serve. No one wants their elementary school age children riding on a school bus for 45 minutes twice a day. We want our young children in schools near to our homes.

We are absolutely committed to keeping these schools open, properly maintained and safe.
